Clay Bartlett & Beth Fowler
Big Sky Ventures was started in 2011 by Clay Bartlett and Beth Fowler, two lifelong New Brunswickers who fell in love with sea buckthorn after seeing what this hardy little berry could do for soil, climate, and their own and their families health. They put the very first seedlings in the ground by hand, one row at a time.
More than a decade later, Clay and Beth still work the orchard and oversee every harvest, every cold-press, and every berry that leaves the farm — guided by a simple belief that the most nourishing food is the food you grow yourself, with patience and care, as nature intended. Clay and Beth are experts at growing and producing sea buckthorn and sea buckthorn products. You can come see them at the Boyce Farmers Market in Fredericton every Saturday.
